I’ll be honest—I was worried about my son’s speech.
He was almost 2 and barely saying a word. While other toddlers were stringing sentences together, mine was mostly pointing and getting frustrated when I didn’t understand him. People kept telling me, “Don’t worry, all kids develop at their own pace,” but deep down, I knew something wasn’t right.
Every day felt like a guessing game—what did he want? What was he trying to say? And the worst part was watching him get upset when I couldn’t understand him. It was heartbreaking.
I started googling everything I could find: speech delays, toddler milestones, early intervention, speech therapy—you name it. Everything pointed to one truth:
Speech delays can lead to long-term developmental issues if left untreated.
And I wasn’t willing to “wait and see.”
